The two most important things in life

      





I want asked members of a forum to identify the two most important things in life. At that time, I have not yet chosen the two items myself. What I did was, I drew up a list of ten items and listed them out in alphabetical order.
  1. Fame
  2. Family
  3. Friends
  4. Good looks
  5. Happiness
  6. Health
  7. Intelligence
  8. Long life
  9. Respect
  10. Wealth
  11. Work
Now choose two out of the above ten items are the two most dearest to you. The things you don't choose, you don't get. For example, if you don't choose long life as one of the two most important things in life, that means you are willing to forgo long life. Similarly, if you do not choose friends, you are willing to forgo friends. So, even as you try to determine what are the two most important things in your life, be mindful that you will have to forgo those you do not choose.
