Why Some Websites Fail
Today there are more failed websites than successful ones. Here are some of the reasons why your website may fail.
- Your niche is too narrow, so even when all of them visit your website, it is not enough to generate substantial returns.
- Your niche is too wide. It takes too long to try and dominate it, and you give up before you could.
- It doesn't have enough content, but you gave up before you could pump enough into it.
- You didn't plan the website sufficiently, so you quickly run out of things to write about.
- You are more interested in making money than writing your website. As a result, your website sounds like a billboard for advertisements.
- Someone somewhere (including the little man in your head) told you to write on a certain topic, not because you are passionate about it, but because it is supposed to guarantee a high income. Two months down the road, you realised that pursuing a topic just because it is lucrative can be a big waste of time.
- Your interest changed.
